Paddy Power - Marseille v Liverpool Money Back Offer

Monday, December 10th, 2007

Paddy Power have the following offer on the site for the Marseille v Liverpool match on Tuesday night:

Torrential Reign!

Marseille v Liverpool
Money-Back Special
Tue 7.45pm Live on ITV1
If Fernando Torres scores the last goal of the above match then Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single bets on this match.

Method:

As usual fairly straight forward method to this one in order to qualify for the money back offer from Paddy Power.  Look through the 1st goalscorer and correct score markets on Paddy Power (these are the two markets that can be layed off at one of the betting exchanges). Then place a bet and lay bet on any close match (where the odds at Paddy Power are as close as possible to the lay odds at one of the betting exchanges).

This will then qualify you for the money back offer for next to no loss.  You then have two options available:

1. Leave it at that and if Torres scores the last goal your in the money and have made a profit, if not then you have made a small loss (from the qualifying bet) so onto the next refund offer or

2. If you happen to be taking an interest in the match and are watching it close to an internet connection.  If Torres scores during the game (and your matched bet is losing - this is a must) you have the option to lay no next goal at the betting exchange in-running to lock in a profit.  The profit that can be locked in will depend on the lay odds available for no next goal.

I personally go along with option 1 for this type of refund offer, save my time in locking in a small amount of money and take any small loss if the refund does not occur as over time i still make a fairly nice profit after taking into account the small losses i make when the refund offers dont come in.

Victor Chandler Horse Racing Refund Offer

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

VC Bet have a refund offer on todays horse racing as follows:

All races at Kelso, Warwick & Punchestown today:
If your selection FALLS, we’ll refund your losing stake as a free bet on tomorrow’s racing!
Also applies to unseated rider, brought down, refused or slipped up. Max free bet £100 (€150) per person per race. Applies to win & e/w bets. Singles only

Method:

Back any close matches on toadys selected races and lay the bet off at a betting exchange such as Betfair, should the horse fall, become unseated, is broughtdown, refuses or slips up a refund upto £100 will be made per race.

Fairly easy to qualify and there should be at least one close match per race, aim for the races over the longer distances and check the type of race also as hurdle races are more likely to produce fallers than flat races for the obvious reasons.  I usually do well on this offer and my success rate is around 1 in 5 at the moment which makes this offer quite profitable over the long term.

The offer can be found here: VC Bet

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

Boylesports are offering a number of refund offers on this weekends Premier League games as follows:

“Carew’s Missile”

Aston Villa v Portsmouth - Premier League - Saturday 12.45pm
IF JOHN CAREW SCORES THE LAST GOAL OF THE GAME,
BOYLESPORTS WILL REFUND ALL LOSING SINGLE BETS
ON THIS MATCH.

“Mersey Beat”

Reading v Liverpool - Premier League - Saturday 5.15pm
IF LIVERPOOL ARE LEADING AT HALF TIME BUT FAIL TO WIN,
BOYLESPORTS WILL REFUND ALL LOSING SINGLE BETS
ON THIS MATCH.

“Tommy Will Figure”

Middlesbrough v Arsenal - Premier League - Sunday 1.30pm
IF TOMAS ROSICKY SCORES THE LAST GOAL OF THE GAME,
BOYLESPORTS WILL REFUND ALL LOSING SINGLE BETS
ON THIS MATCH.

“The Rovers Return”

Blackburn v West Ham - Premier League - Sunday 4pm
IF BLACKBURN WIN THIS GAME FROM BEHIND,
BOYLESPORTS WILL REFUND ALL LOSING SINGLE BETS
ON THIS MATCH.

Methods:

These offers are pretty easy to qualify for as they allow betting on all outcomes as long as their is a market available at the betting exchange which you can lay the bet off at.

The offer with the most chance of happening looks like the Carew last goalscorer offer.  Both Aston Villa and Carew have been on form of late so look for a close match on a bet that has a chance of losing (even something as simple as laying Portsmouth) then match the bet out at the betting exchange.

This offer has then beneift of being able to lay a bet in running should Carew score a goal providing your bet is losing at the time, increasing your chance of getting a refund.

BGBet Premiership First Goalscorer Refund Offer

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

BGBet are offering a refund offer on selected weekend premiership games as follows:

Place a bet on the first goalscorer for any of the following Premiership games
this weekend and if the player listed below scores at anytime BGbet will refund
all losing first goalscorer stakes on that match (refunds will be in the form of free bets).

Saturday 8th December
Aston Villa V Portsmouth - M Harewood
Reading V Liverpool - S Gerrard

Sunday 9th December
Middlesborough V Arsenal - T Walcott
Blackburn V West Ham - M Derbyshire

Method:

Back and lay a close match on the first goalscorer market for one of the above matches.  This will enable you to qualify for the refund offer.  If the appropriate player scores during the game (see name next to the above matches) then you will profit by receiving a refund should your bet not win.

My top tip for this offer would be to find a close first goalscorer bet on the Reading V Liverpool game as out of the players i feel Gerrard is the most likely to score.

If you are yet to open an account with BGBet then why not take up their £25 free bet offer at the same time!

Boylesports Open Championship Refund Offer

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Boylesports Open Championship snooker refund offer is as follows:

Boylesports will refund all losing single outright bets placed on this market if Ding Junhui wins the tournament.

Makes a change to have an offer on snooker instead of football and not a bad offer at that!

Right, back and lay a player (other than Ding Junhui) in the Open Championship outright market and if Ding Junhui goes on to win the tournament you will be refunded your bet.

Ronnie O Sullivan can currently be matched out in order to qualify for the refund offer for a small loss.

Overall this offer isn’t that bad as provided you get a decent match on the qualifying bet a profit can be locked in by laying Ding Junhui later on in the tournament if he proceeds a few rounds, and if Ding Junhui gets anywhere near the final (he’s currently second favourite behind Ronnie himself) then a nice profit can be made from this offer by laying Ding Junhui to lose in the final safe in the knowledge that if he wins you will get a refund back from Boylesports.

Paddy Power - Newcastle v Arsenal Offer

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Offer:

If Emmanuel Adebayor scores the last goal of this game, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast bets on this match

Method:

Same as the offer on the AC Milan v Celtic Refund Offer.

The two options available to qualify for a minimal loss on this offer are the correct score and first goalscorer route.  This is due to not being able to lay the last goalscorer or scorecast route at a betting exchange.

1. Back a correct score (if possible a result where Arsenal don’t score a goal as this will always qualify for the refund offer) and lay the bet off at betfair or another betting exchange as long as there is a close enough match available.

2. Back a first goalscorer which can be layed off at a betting exchange for small loss.

If Adebayor scores the last goal then a refund will be made on all losing bets.

A profit can be made on this in running if you are able to get to a computer during the match.  Provided Adebayor scores during the match and your bet which you have layed off is losing (say 0-0 correct score) then you can lay ‘No next goal’ for a small amount safe in the knowledge that if there is no further goal you will receive a refund but lose the small lay bet you placed during the game or if a goal is scored then you dont qualify for the refund (unless its Adebayor again in which you can repeat the process again!) but you will win some money from the small lay bet made.  This will be covered in further detail soon in a more extensive guide.

Paddy Power - AC Easy Refund Offer

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Offer:

If AC Milan win this game by two clear goals or more, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast bets on this match.

Method:

The two options available to qualify for a minimal loss on this offer are the correct score and first goalscorer route.  This is due to not being able to lay the last goalscorer or scorecast route at a betting exchange.

1. Back a correct score (one which does not include AC Milan winnings by 2 goals as the bet would win) and lay the bet off at betfair or another betting exchange as long as there is a close enough match available.

2. Back a first goalscorer which can be layed off at a betting exchange for small loss.

If AC Milan win the game by two goals or more then a refund will be made on all losing bets.

No way of locking in a profit but should be fairly easy to find some close matches for minimal loss. especially on the correct score market.

Refund guide - Part 3

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

So we have covered the basics of how to benefit from the bookmaker offers and how to use a betting exchange to achieve this (if you still require further clarification have a look at arbitrage betting or matched betting via google as the principle of backing and laying a bet is the same).

We will now look at how to use the refund calculator (this is an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, if you don’t have a copy of Excel you can download a free Excel viewer from Microsoft here).

Once you open the calculator tool you will be greated with a basic spreadsheet which we will use to calculate the lay bet required at the betting exchange.  A screenshot of it is displayed below:

refund calculatorUsing the example of the bet in Part 2 of the guide the spreadsheet will be completed as per the screenshot.

The stake of £10 will be entered into the Stake box, along with the back odds (bookmaker odds in decimal) 7.0 and the available lay odds at the betting exchange of 7.2.

The spreadsheet will then calculate all the remaining information required in order to calculate the lay bet required at the betting exchange.

In the example shown you can see the winnings if the bet was to win (back return), the lay risk (the amount of funds required at the betting exchange to place the lay bet) and the lay stake (the amount required to lay at the betting exchange in order to achieve the same result regardless of the outcome of the match).

The spreadsheet is designed to calculate the lay stake in order to give the same result regardless of the outcome and in the example you can see if the bet wins you will be left with £9.30 of the initial £10 (a 70p loss) based on winnings of £70 less £60.70 paid out on the lay at the betting exchange.

If the bet loses then the lay amount would be paid out (lay stake of £9.79 less 5% commission = £9.30).

Thats about it really, feel free to add comments to this post in order to ask any questions (i can then update this post to cover anything missed).  You may need to read the guide again and/or do a small test to fully understand but after having a go a couple of times it will become easy.
