How does refund betting work?
By using a method similar to Matched Betting or arbitrage betting you can take part in bookie refund offers lock in a profit regardless of the outcome or qualify for a refund offer with risking money.
By using a betting exchange such as Betfair you can lay your bet off and make a profit if the refund offer happens without risking your own money.
Take a look at the below examples for a better idea of what i mean:
First goalscorer refund offer
Bet on the 1st Goalscorer in the Chelsea v Arsenal match (example) and if your player doesn’t score first but scores second we will refund your bet.
Method: Back and lay a first goalscorer (for example Drogba 6.0/6.0) where there is a close match, this is important so to minimise any loss on the qualifying bet. If Drogba goes on to score a goal but not the first in the match you would be refunded your bet stake. By laying your bet on a betting exchange you are effectively cancelling out your bet but will still have the option to gain a refund for effectively nothing.
Correct score refund offers
We’ll refund your losing Correct Score bet on the Chelsea v Arsenal match if it finishes 0-0.
Method: Back and lay a correct score other than 0-0 (for example 1-0 7.0/7.0) where there is a close match, this is important so to minimise any loss on the qualifying bet. If the match ends 0-0 your bet stake will be refunded.
By laying your bet on a betting exchange you are effectively cancelling out your bet but will still have the option to gain a refund for effectively nothing.
First goal within 10 minutes refund offer
Have a bet on the First Goalscorer and if the first goal is scored within the first 10 minutes we will double your winnings.
Method: Back and lay a first goalscorer (for example Drogba 6.0/6.0) where there is a close match, this is important so to minimise any loss on the qualifying bet. If Drogba was to score the first goal within 10 minutes then your winnings would be doubled. This is a very lucrative offer as there is more money to be made from less outlay.
